1995 ஆம் ஆண்டில் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்ட க.பொ.த உயர்த்தர பௌதிகவியல் பாடத்திட்டத்தில் இரு புதிய அலகுகள் சேர்க்கப்பட்டன. அவை
- சடமும் கதிர்ப்பும்
என்பனவாகும்.
இரு புதிய அலகுகளில் மிகவும் சுலபமான கேள்விகள் ஆரம்பத்தில் வந்த போதிலும் தற்போது அந்நிலைமை உள்ளது. மிகவும் நூட்பமான கேள்விகள் தொடுக்கபடுகின்றன. அத்துடன் பிரயோகங்களுடன் கூடிய கேள்விகள் தொடர்ச்சியாக எழுப்பபடுகின்றது.
